So, do you think if you put seats up there you would be safe from lions in the bush in Africa? _________________ Al Brase

205/70 15 on Mercedes C-Class Wheels.
But with no regular german "TÜV"
so i must change to 205/70R14. But i can not find a offroad Tire in this Dimension. It is so heavy here in germany to get a car with modifications and the classic car registration on the road

Ive known people to cheat. Put 14" tires on to pass TUV then put the 15's back on. _________________

You have nankang 215/75r14 FT-7
But that might also not be allowed for Tüv? |

Hey guys,
Can I ask what kind of lifetime you can get out of your CVs when you bus is raised?
I've just lifted up mine to around 24 degrees (no other mod) but am attempting to drive across the world, so I can't afford to be burning through CVs like some of you have experienced in this thread.
So has anyone been able to put 100k miles on their CVs with their bus riding high? _________________ Around The World in a VW - Follow the Docuseries

What CVs are you using Ben? Bus CVs wont last at 24* but 930s will, but the boots will be the first to go. I'd get a set of EMPI boots and some Grease-N-Go rings. Or maybe even the leather boots. The CVs will only fail if you over extend or under grease them _________________ Wash your hands

Really?
I’m running my spring plates at 25.5* unweighted with zero issues...the boots will fail before the CVs do. _________________ __________

how many 10.000 miles did you drive already with this?
Too sad that other solutions are a quite little bit too expensive to me:
http://www.highangledriveline.com/sandrails.html
BTW: pay attention with some CV repros - that one that sold to me, has not hold 200 miles
Smashed after a traffic light start - and that was not like a race start.
I bought than used axles and build the best of them together - that works now again more than 5000 miles and hopefully much longer...
And I use only NOS or old used boots (T2 and T3). The available repros need to be switched all ~3 years on my heavy usage (trips to Africa or Asia). _________________ Rolf-Stephan Badura
