Either option will be a great addition. Atb diff may not be as aggressive but I assume that if you pull the brake a bit you could get it to do its job. Better than a straight up open diff either way and even those are pretty competent in a bus. |

Damn..I would love to put a lift kit like that on mine. But I just rebuilt both of my stock axles and I dont think I can justify the cost.
Maybe this will push me over the edge of reindexing my rear torsion bars a notch or two... |

I know both would be better than what is in there just now, it just comes down to how much better an LSD would be than a ATB versus the cost difference |

For straight up off-road use. The LSD is better.
If you plan on lifting a rear wheel the ATB will not transfer power like the LSD without some type of assistance. |

Does anyone have a recommendation on tires that would fit my stock wheels (14") on my Early bay? Stock suspension, don't want anything to rub.
Anything from BFG or General Grabbers?
Thanks |

I recommend these. I bought mine locally, the link is just for reference.

Dude, that looks pretty sweet!
Stuart told me he can barely touch the ground when sitting in the open slider door. (I think that may be a slight exaggeration!)

If he puts his feet like this, then they do not touch.

How do the Grabbers affect the gearing?
Any noticeable need to downshift from 4th to 3rd sooner on long hills?
Are you still able to idle or light throttle over the rough stuff? |

Jetfxr69 has them on Seamus and pulled Gorham Hill, which if you haven't experienced it, it's like going through the last part of Crawford Notch before you hit the AMC house, but about 1.5 miles long. _________________ 1979 Transporter (sold)

They are very close to the overall diameter of a stock size tire, so the gearing should not be affected by much. _________________ nothing |

No worries, be ready to check in with him regularly to make sure he's on it. He gets sidetracked easily with what I'm sure is his more lucrative side of the business - Lowering kits.
Id email him direct as I don't think there is a waiting list - just those that nut up the $$ to get him on it.
Good luck. Post pics! _________________
