Non-skid dash pads for mugs or whatever, a 12V switched "aircraft light" to be mounted somewhere over the passenger seat, and the bro-in-law gave us a set of 8 ball valve caps that have been installed. Groovy. |

Mad Max..... If they be Yellow they be HD. If they be Black, they be Touring. Ive got the touring and like em a lot.
My neighbor has the HD and they telegraph every glitch and bump and I personally didnt like em.
Thats just my opinion. Either way; youve got an improvement, a real good one |

You got the margaritas Glenn, I'll cover the grill. Little gift from the in laws, should be great for camping this summer.
My mom and her BF also got me a laptop so I'm wired everywhere I go now, it's not a super crazy gaming system or anything but it means we don't have to deal with the 45 minute mandatory logoff on the hospital computers and I can play with all my music programs here and have my files everywhere I go.
And of course I can't forget the Card, VanCafe gift certificate, and seat brackets everyone pitched in on. I got the brackets in yesterday and they fit great, thanks again guys! |

Unfortunatley a new Brake MC, and srping jacks for the rear to correct the Westy lean. Saw them installed and they work! . Much better than the airlift kit. |

My rig demanded a new clutch slave a week before Xmas, so that's what it got. It's been a good little boy this year (I think it's a boy...maybe it's a girl? How do you tell? I do know when it's sleeping and when it's awake, but does that make me Santa Claus?) so I didn't grouse about it.
What I did do while it was out was remove the bracket and spot-welded that little bolt on the back that's so hard to get to into place, making it a stud. So much easier to tighten down the slave without having to wrassle with two wrenches in there.
The ball tip on the end of the clutch lever was long gone, and the new slave had a nice new plastic socket that looked terrified of being chewed up by the jagged vestigial stud jutting out of the arm, so I took the rod out of the old slave and cut off the nice rounded tip that rides on the piston. Chucked it into the lathe, drilled a hole in the center, and pressed it onto the stud, making a nice new ball and socket arrangement. All's well in Mudville now. _________________ Shop for unique Vanagon accessories at the Vanistan shop:

we have one of those, don't expect great things outta it Enough alcohol it doesn't matter though This is our blender of choice allthough ours acted up the last Ginnie Springs campout, and needs a fuel system cleaning-
The Vangon got an oem rubber front floor, Reimo dash console, some window cranks (temporary until I fit the power doors sitting the shed)
For camping we got a new portable propane heater (coleman procat) and a the wife bought the westy a nice carbon monoxcide detector to go along with! I think (have not opened the present yet) My buddy bought a fresh gas tank for the boat as well. I hope so anyway as the next campout will be at a campground on the water on tampa bay! _________________ Markus |
