yesterday i bought and installed a stand off for my carburator because there was a little bit of the carb hitting my generator. now the car runs great, but i can't get the throttle cable back into the throttle body. the cable has a crimped on end peice that is about 1/8th of an inch too short. it is only a 1 inch stand off from the original position of the carb and i didn't expect any issues. do any of you guys know how to get an eighth inch out of a throttle cable short of replacing it? |

Check with some of the vw parts stores. Most sell extension kits for cables and they are cheap. _________________ 67 Type I

Try this

If that won't work, or you can't wait, you can try going to your local hobby shop and buying some steel tube that will fit over the cable end. Then solder it in place. Sort of makes your own extension. _________________ Mother Nature is a Mean Evil Bitch! |
