I have a 1973 and the frame head is rusted out. This of course make the front end not as tight as I would like. I drive it just fine but need to replace the part - which I have. Any easy way to do this? Just looking for some input. Thanks. Very Happy

If I were doing it I would make up a simple fixture from tubing or a old beam that attaches to the beam mounts and the floor pan mounting bolts, before I cut the old frame head off. That way you have a referance when fitting and welding the new head.

I appreciate it, my Thing may be gone by then - looking to sell. Breaks my heart, she is a dream.
