| Hello there~ Just lookin' for some advice. My 72 Westy's engine block is cracked, and I've been told that the engine needs to be rebuilt now. It starts up and runs fine, but the oil light flickers on and off and it leaks oil from the crack. I'm sure a compression test would give bad results. (What happened is, someone tightened the bolt under the oil screen too hard, and something broke inside.) So my question is...I have no garage, hardly any tools and little to no mechanical expereince...and not much help. What is the best and cheapest way to have my engine rebuilt? Do you all think I would be able to remove it from the bus and have an engine shop do it? --Suzanna |
