The red B button is the brake warning light. With the key in the on possition if you push the button ,it should come on, if it comes on while driving there's somthing wrong w/ the brake lights. You may need a cluch cable ajustment to find 1st. and 2nd. easer. Yes that's the washer fluid bottle, it has an air valve you have to pump up w/ a bike pump to 35lbs. The button inside the wiper switch (the plastic part w/ the wiper painted on it)activates it. DavidK 71Deluxe 69S/Cab |

I know my reverse lights are out. Would that red light go on because of these lights being out? The wires arent connected because I dont know which ones they are. Does anybody know which wires go where? Also I have a very small oil leak. Im not sure where its leaking....is this a normal thing? Thanks again. |

The reverse lights are a different system, connected from the transaxle to the coil. If the Brake warning light comes on for any reason then the problem is with the brake light systom only. Look at Type2 .com in the library under wiring secondary for your wiring diag. to see if a wire is misplaced. A dime to quarter size drip is ok, kind of like a Harley, VWs mark there territory. You can find wiring diagrams at vintagebus.com --- first/second gear problem can be the transaxle or possibly just sloppy bushings in the shift linkage. Bushings are pretty much available from either bus-boys.com or busdepot.com. |
