THe Monte Carlo radios were at the lower end of the Becker radios, however, if it has the correct face to match the oval speaker grill, it is a rare find.

I like those beckers, they are much rarer in a bug than a blaupunkt, so they look slightly different. If they have a nice face plate as well, then all the better. I reckon they also look a little classier than sapphires, and are the equivalent to those later telefunkens for an oval dash.

Probably like this if it has the big button:

I wish someone would reproduce the big buttons for Beckers and Blaupunkts. Most have jungle rot at this point, and it just kills the radio.

A guy who looks after my radios told me once that he uses denture paste/ cleaner on the ivory knobs of his radios and they come up real nice. If that centre button is a bit discoloured maybe that might be worth a try! Thinking about it, the finish of a denture, and a bakelite ivory radio knob must be quite similar?

There was one lower model. Brescia. AM only. Frequently used with a short wave adaptor.

FYI: The radio in the picture has the universal front on it. White is pretty rare, though.

NOTE: I think they DO make some of the front trim related items, too.
