Since my transaxle assembly was out, I took advantage and cleaned up the rear wheel wells. Didn’t go overboard and obsess over it, but I’m happy with the outcome. Here’s some before and after pics.

Windex for most of it, then mineral spirits to get off the tar and crap. A crap ton of rags that I just threw away afterwards. |

I wondered what it would look like if I would change my standard, with a deluxe trim...
I took a pic from the classifieds and changed it a bit.
I'd consider this... |

Wow! Superb color and fade, and a walkthrough to boot... Camper interior is quite nice too, love the armrest with pocket, never seen one like this before. Only way to make it better would be some patina 15's |

I've had this for a few years now. It's getting close to being a driver.

nice save on that drivers side smash- would like to see how you fixed that and seemingly kept the OG paint |

It was a good smash for sure! Bumper tip was touching the frame rail. Driver side floor and seat pedestal were wadded up and dogleg was twisted. I removed all that and pushed the nose out until the perfectly matched replacement door fit well. Welded in a complete new floor and seat pedestal. Somehow the original dogleg popped back into shape easily so I reused it. Wish I could've smoothed out the nose more but it would've required losing og paint.

Being velvetgreen I have a soft spot for that colour. I think you made the right call- epic save to keep that bus as original as possible in spit of the crash. Looks great! |
