Ohms tested right at 16. They just wouldn't fire. Not one of the 4.

I'll see what one of my OE ohm out to. Maybe test one of yours? Easy enough.

* one of mine came in at 17.5 which is within spec.

16 is what they are supposed to be, but there is tolerance. I call shoddy manufacturing because of how quick the guy said they were defective. Maybe they started making them differently.

The tips are way shorter on the sorensons than the oe too so I dont see how thats supposed to work. The things just didnt work. Installed new injectors, none fired. Installed old injectors, all fired.

Mine installed for about 100 miles. Sorensen. Seem to be very satisfactory. Sorry for your results. I'll be driving 600 miles this weekend, so I'll provide additional feedback.

Interesting. I've been running three Sorenson and one O'Reilly's as noted earlier in this thread, same Delphi part number on the actual injector. Been running them all summer, several thousand miles, no issues, similar mileage to OE. But back in March the supply dried up, hence my mix n match, maybe they changed something with the current batch.

did yours have the shorter nozzles too? the new ones nozzles were half the size of the ones i run. i dont see how the spray pattern could have been any good even if they had worked.

You might be trying to compare a disc type injector to the OE pintle type injector. This would at least account for the tip length.

Here's a quick read.

good read. thank you. makes sense. i am still iffy about using this particular brand after having 4 bad injectors in one package. it seems the bwd and soresons are both made at the same manufacturer under two different company names at the same address in long island. are there any other aftermarket disc style injectors not made by this manufacturer that have been tried and true?

The GP's came to my door today. Each was in a sealed bag with a hose clamp. I wasn't too happy about the one with a crooked hose. I'll debate whether to remove all four hoses and use the newer hose I installed when redoing the fuel lines. At least the GP's use German 7.5x3

Let us know how they work out. I still haven't had time to toss mine in. I was also sent exactly what you have pictured.

I called the local AZ to discuss returns/exchanges. No problem they said.

But I had to see the deal. I gambled. I won.
The injector with the most crooked hose came right out. There was a second one that was iffy. It took a bit more coaxing but came out easily. I then removed the two remaining hoses. It was good German hose but improperly installed. geesh.

The pic's show everything. I'm kinda glad it turned out the way it did. I'll just install them onto the newer installed fuel line kit that came from VC.

This is as simple as it gets to remove the hose. All I did was twist to the side a bit and it came out.

This is how much hose was into the brass keeper.

This is the metal barbed end.

Let's hope they work. When I spent the ten minutes to remove the four hoses, I was adamant to do so with the injector upside down. I didn't want any tidbits to fall inside. It was easier to remove these hoses than it was with the OE Bosch hoses during fuel line R&R.

Follow up.

Kinda glad I ended up changing the fuel lines since I had left over 8mm fuel line from the VC kit. I can't really tell seat-of-da-pants dyno changes but it does run well.

I suspect that my OE injectors were a bit leaky now that the over rich smell of cold start-warm idle is gone.
Looking forward to sending off the OE injectors for cleaning or rebuilding.
FI Corp is down the street from me.

I just got a reman. BWD #27530 from O'Reilly's and found that I should replace all 4. Called them and they have only 1 left, which I ordered. I found that the 57530 injectors are NLA. So I'll be running BWD's on one side and OEM's on the other. Hope it works.

Bad idea... all the injectors should match. If they flow differently, one set will run lean and the other rich to make the average that the O2 sensor reads and the ecu adjusts to.

i decided to give the sorenson injectors another chance. i returned the first set to autozone and they were pretty easy going about sending me a new set and they even over nighted them. i just installed them and they fired right up. i can tell by the smell of my exhaust that i am getting a more complete burn out of them.
i am supposing that the first set i recieved were dropped somewhere by fedex (ive worked for them and i know accidents happen) or i just got a bad batch. Anyway, these seem to be fine. We'll see how they stand the test of time.

Ok, I'll ask the stupid Question.......

I recently got the Sorenson 800-1206N 13226
Fuel injectors.

They have a white plastic piece in the tip.
I'm guessing that stays there and it isn't simply a shipping brace?

Thanks for the info, I thought that was the case but better to ask than to screw it up!
