When did bardoors change from the small rib cab mat to the moulded in wide flat rib mat? Does anyone have any pictures of an original early small rib mat? _________________

Scotty is this for your van?
I have a tiny peice (10cms square) of what looks like the original mat i found in the remains of the cab of my 52 before i restored it. It has the ribs on it - i can take a pic if it will help.

The floor mat changed at chassis number 20-041712.
This is from the VW bible:
Fussmatte in Fahrerraum
Neu: Profilgummi mit Dichtlippen an Fusshebelausschnitten.
(Floor mat in drivers cab.
New: profile rubber mat with ??? foot lever system.)
Something like that

The first picture is as I remember from a 1952 firevan on the VW museum, and the other one is the mat I made for my own panel.
Sorry for the quality but it is what I have
