I saw one of those on a trailer the other day, pretty cool looking, i swear the rear hub looks like one off of a 70's honda dirt bike. _________________ -Bryan

those are kool little bobbers. i cant imagine them ripping your arms outta the sockets thats for sure. theres a company round here that sells little POS's for like $3500. little harley ripoffs but they look the part. they sound like little lawn mowers with a hole in the muffler when they take off. i cant find any pics of them sorry. |

The engine is a Chinese copy of a Honda SOHC engine, the basic engine found in Trail 70s. The engine is of inherently good design, therefore, and there is a huge aftermarket for them. Can anyone say 150cc w/ a 3 valve head?

after looking at their site AND some of the you tube vids im pretty impressed. for the money i dont think you can go wrong. i wouldnt plan on turning sturgis on its head but for under $2K fully decked out you have quite the conversation piece at the very least. i'd roll it.
put on your converse all stars, cuff your pants and make sure you get it in flat black.
but is this guy gonna poke fun at ya?

Worried about the engine size, well they have a supporting aftermarket for them. Here is a link to the 250cc motor and other goodies.

the engines on those bikes are a direct copy of a honda motorcycle engine. they are good motors, the only thing i don't like (not as fun and more likely to break) is the semi automatic shifting. if you buy it to have fun with it will be a blast. but you are not going to get a hole lot of miles on it before those cheap chinese parts start to break. some of the parts will be hard if not impossible to find. that being said if i had $1500 burning a hole in my pocket i would buy it but i would not save up for it. sell the bus and buy 5 |

a couple of months ago, I wanted one. I held off since the manufacturer was having problems getting bikes delivered. People paid, and 2 months later they still didn't have their bike parts. Also some shady dealers that weren't doing things right pissed off the manufacturer, so he refused to give people their MSO, meaning you couldn't title the bike.
Other people complained that the frames were not big or heavy enough, that the seemed more like chinese bike frames. Also cheap chrome plating that rusted quickly. Last I looked, he was building a bigger frame to accept a 250 motor, and full manual trans.
there is a forum dedicated to the hardknock bobber, I highly recommend doing all the reseach you can before buying. I did, and I'm glad I diddn't buy one _________________ Stop dead photo links! Post your photos to The Samba Gallery! |

Lawnmowers?
Just build a motorcycle.
It's fun.
Don't read too much into it. It's just a motorcycle. |
