I put a 2L 914 in my Thing using a DTM kit (which is really nice). Even though all parts were new and clerances to spec, oil pressure was very low. Added a Pelican pressure kit, and still low. Finally changed to a Type 4 case and Melling 30mm pump. Oil pressure is good now but not great. Gleaned that oil pressure is a problem with these cases, but why?? |

I would suggest inquiring of Jake Raby about your Type 4 problem.

A PM would be a good place to start.
Also you might pose this question in the 411/412 and Performance/Engines/Racing forums. _________________ "Here we don't have a single clock in the shop- time doesn't matter." ----Jake Raby
