I own a 72 westy. I was wondering, is the only way to access the engine from the rear. Can I access it from the inside. It doesnt seem that the cover inside the bus comes off. This doesnt make sense to me though. Why would it not come off? It makes it such a pain to work on. Thanks.

Sorry, the 72's are the only year with out the hatch access above the engine. I know the even changing the plugs can be a chore. The only thing to do is find a bus with a hatch in it and cut it out. Then you would have to put it in your bus.
