i have probably 3 coolant pipe leaks now, thanks salt. theyre the all metal ones as i have an 84 1.9 wbx. has anyone just put good heavy duty hose in its place? let me know. its hard to find a good set of pipes, none of the junkyards have them.

if not, what else is there i can do? i have 3 leaks in the feed pipe and a leak on the front most side of the passenger side head. i thought a head gasket blew but it doesnt smoke and starts fine, i havent looked much but it looks like that its leaking from a hose or pipe or something there? its running down the side and along the bottom of the head itsself, right on the seam. according to a diagram its either the hose form the head to the T for the rear heater or the crossover pipe and the T for the rear heater. had anyone had a head leak so bad it makes a 1 or 2 inch diameter puddle on the ground within 30 mins or so of being parked? like i say, the van doesnt smoke, runs and idles fine, starts quick, etc. let me know.

thanks

mike

Do a search on stainless steel, you will get your answer.
Another argument on the subject isn't needed, not your fault, oil, tires and coolent pipes seem to bring out the passion in some board members.

And I haven't experianced it but I have heard of head leaks that bad, someone else will comment on it.
