Bob knows how to make a guitar.

If you ever get the chance go down to El Cajon and take a tour. It's very cool.

Very sweet. Jumbos get to be a pain lugging them around gigs though.

Dan Crary has a Taylor sig model 12. Probably very nice.

The GC here in town has a 87-88 model 810. At $1800 it's a steal. Brazillian Rosewood, in pretty good shape.

They were $1000 back then. I looked at them. Seems like a lifetime ago.

Definately, go out to the factory. It's cool. I went out there in '92. Get on the mailing list, they used to have little concerts at the factory. I saw Crary (sp?) at the factory.

If you don't already have the Taylor video on their new (as of 1999) neck design, get it. It's awesome. Cool

I would like to tour the factory at some point...

One of my faves...yeah, it's a '27 prototype.

Have some others...silver burst LPs, matching v-bass, some early '50s Gibson lapsteels....I always mean to by a Tele, but with all the perfectly good Gibsons in the world...I just can't lay the money down.

Don't write off the Mexican Tele's
I played one at a local shop the other day. For me (a hack) it was pretty nice and at 1/3 the cost of an american it was a deal.
