Shameless plug if you need gear - I started using Sweetwater a while ago. The owner, Chuck Surack, is a VW nut (has at least 3 or 4 really nice cars and busses). My rep is Robbie Resnick and is freaking awesome - I get a phone call or email after I order anything to make sure its working well and he makes really good suggestions when I am not sure what I need.
Prices are as good as anyplace else and you get something for free which I don't see much anymore - service. I am gonna order one of those little Zoom digital recorders from him to record gigs and rehearsals in a couple minutes.

A little cutie and my G&L Skyhawk. Ditched my Les Paul Lite for it, decision well made. A lot more comfortable to play.

Also bumped in to this two miles away from my family's land. RIP.

This thread has been dormant for too long. I did a couple updates on my stuff and built a travel bass from a leftover piece of ash from my VW woodie project.

Travel bass - We just bought a travel trailer and I wanted something I could take along and wouldnt be heartbroken if it got stolen. Would be too easy to buy a Ministar or something like that. I had a odd neck laying around for years, whacked the headstock off. Fabricated the body out of white ash and used cheapy ebay hardware and 5 string J-bass pups because of the narrow string spacing. I have maybe $120 in it total and I banged this out in a day and a half so its not super clean, but it works well for what I want it for.

Most of the rest of my guitars/basses - Awesome Peavey Tele copy. Ibanez Sound gear bass used for a couple drop tune songs (B-E-A-D - Yeah I know get a 5 string - but I just cant get used to them). Vintage Modified Squire Jazz that has been substantially modified by me. So I guess its a modified vintage modified.....And in 20 years it will be a vintage modified vintage modified.......
Hacked Gibson Grabber headless/fretless (Dont yell - did that about 25 years ago - but they are still crappy instruments). My new Travel bass. My main bass (built and rebuilt several times over the past 25 or so years - absolutely amazing instrument), Frankenstein Gibson EB 3L, Vox Phantom bass neck (used to be on the explorer, but it strated to delaminate). 60s Japanese cheapy that is exactly like my very first bass. I have gigged (and still gig) with all of these except the Tele and the bass on the far right.

Here's my modified Gibson GA-15RVT Explorer amp

Link

Looks ghetto, but is a pretty sweet amp. Nice clean tone, and crazy ass reverb.

Well - personally, I always preferred a tele being rear loaded, but a Bigsby looks so cool.........Could be worse, you could be installing a B Bender......
