rockfish! where did you hook up the 39's wire to? |
I ran the wire to the left and then down the side corner where the AC hoses run up the "chase" from the engine compartment to the fan unit. Connected to the left tail light. You can either connect the ground to the tail light ground or to the various grounding screws available (there's one in the upper left corner). |

has annyone run the rear lights thr' simple relays ?
can take live feed / earth staright from battery using exosting wiring as relay switch wire .
the electrickery wont be travelling from the battery to the fron and then back again via 25 yr old wire and thr' multiple corroded/old/crappy/multiple switches/terminals etc etc etc , get my drift ? i wired my headlights thr' relays and did nothing else and the improvement was HUGE . ( i then replaced all the wiring with new to front lights and fitted 130/90w bulbs ) its like daytime now! |

I did all of the research 8 years ago.
I have the correct set up available for "I Can See You In The Dark" rear lamps.
Works well during daylight hours too.
I for the life of me had a heck of a time figuring out why VW short changed the rear tail light department.
After getting wacked at night, or flipped off from folks coming up from behind me--it was time for a change. |
What are the correct part numbers for higher wttage lamps? Seems yougo to the autoparts staore wanting higher wattage bulbs, and all they guy behind the counter can do is referance you vehicle's stock lights. a lot of the bulb packages dont even list the watts.
can someone supply some part numbers and wattages? |
