Well seeing as you asked, is that bonnet fitting right? looks to be sitting way to high in those last two pics?

Yah I noticed that in the pics. Can't be sure because these are the pics I got today via TXT. I am going to run in and take a look this week and see whats up. My guess is everything wasn't shut properly and bolted together 100% so it appears there is a gap. At least that better be the issue. Laughing

Looking good! You've got to be stoked Cool

Looks like you've got over rider holes in the front but not in the rear

I will say to anyone doing a full resto and paying someone to do the work...Go look at the progress as much as possible. It is amazing what can be missed and most importantly what shows up after primer is applied. I got all marker happy last week when I went in.

Went and saw the car today. Paint has been ordered. I am going in on Monday to spend the day working on the car with my body guy. I offered since he is new to VW's and we don't want to miss anything. When I got back home these babies were on my porch!

Oh I also picked these up from a local guy last weekend. Dellorto FRD 34B's.

Cool

Had a local guy Compression check the engine and it was spot on. Endplay was questionable but I am going to run it as is and see how it goes. Might build a motor this winter.

Have ordered or picked up around $1000 in parts over the last week. UGH what a headache. Everytime I think I got most if it picked out I find a small piece I missed.

Checked out the car last night and it is getting sooo close. Might be able to paint at the end of next week or early the week after that. ;D

One of the most nerve wracking time of my life. The front 4" narrowed beam required gentle use of a prybar to let the body drop in. Ugh. Then dropping the rear onto the mounts went something like, "Anyone see what it is hung up........BOOM!" I freaked but everything seems ok. The paint isn't perfect, it has its flaws and IMO looks better in the pics but I wasn't paying for a $15K paint job. Whatever I will drive the hell out of it and enjoy it.

Here she sits waiting to be wet sanded at the body shop...sooo can't wait to cruise in this. Twisted Evil
