How did you find that free bus in Nashville? I've been going to Brown County in the Fall for years and never saw that one.

The '79 Bus in this thread is the free Bus from Nashville. Nashville, IN, not Nashville, TN. I got it from my mom's boyfriend's mother, who bought it new in '79. I am the second owner. I even have the window sticker for this unfortunate Bus.

Cool Story. Never seen snow let alone drove in it. Crazy stuff.

Nice 600 mile test flight. But, I would have been pulled over after the first 10 with that broken tail light Smile

What broken tail light? There's nothing broken about either of the tail lights on the Bus.

In a couple of pictures (entering New Hampshire) it looks like your left tailight isn't working. Probably just the flash from the camera.

I apologize. In the road trip pics the driver side tail light appears to not be working-or at least not working as hard as his brother on the right side. I guess it was the way the flash hit. Hope I didnt offend ya.

Oh no, I didn't take offense at all, I had my right signal on, and it flashes just fine. I just happened to catch each pic while the signal was lit up. Sorry, I didn't realize that was what you were talking about!!

Cool, talk about timing....every pic from that angle you caught the turn signal flash...Now, if you were trying to do that you wouldnt have caught it....

One time there was a freeze down here in Florida and I slipped on some ice from the spinklers. Driving in that stuff must suck. But in a related story my newest bus came to me from SC via Manitoba, CA. I too found soem tire chains under the back bench. I took them knowing there isnt a snowballs chance in Central Florida that I will need them. Well at least not anytime soon.
