Im actualy surprised this wasnt a kept up thred from long ago? Other forums seem to have an eye for VWs in movies. There are however several loose threads on VW bays in movies but no unifieng one like this title should be.

I was doing the sit on my ass Chrismas Eve TV thing and caught this on Bad Boys-Will Smith-Martin Laurance Miami Vice movie.

Some good parts right there! Shocked

i watched cheech and chongs next movie a few days ago, and could not believe how many vws of all types were in it. of course it was shot in the late 70s. it has lots of cool cars in it. but some of the st scenes show vws like every 5 or 6 cars.

There is one in Ronin and Blow, too.

If you watch The Baader Meinhof Complex there are tons of old VWs there, many Buses, too... here's one peaking out:

I noticed a ton of vw's on Miracle, the movie about the U.S. beating the U.S.S.R in the 1980 winter olympics.

Of course, there's a VW Bus in the movie Vanilla Sky which, in this scene, pays tribute to a Bob Dylan album:

Little Miss Sunshine, too:

There also was one in the movie "Hulk" which is interesting because at the time I worked right next to the warehouse where the film crew stashed all their props in SF. We shared the same building and I would park my Bus right next to their side of the space. It is no coincidence that the Bus in the movie is the same color as mine. They actually had two Buses painted up to use in the film. Both were non-running shells.

The scene below was filmed up the street from where I worked on the Embarcadero and where their headquarters was:
