I have a 69 weekender and we are expecting our first child. I am courious if anyone has installed a carseat into the bus and how you did it. What kind of modifications are needed.

We've put two in the backseat of a 74 westy, using just the lap belts as the others above, and hooking the anchor strap to the rear hatch hinge, only on the passenger side, the driver's side hinge was behind the cabinet on a 74. We got a booster seat soon after, with no anchor strap for the kid on the driver's side because he was big enough, but if we were to use the van more, I'd put a couple of anchors in above the engine compartment by drilling through the floor just in front of the hatch, and using a hefty piece of flat bar (1/4 or 3/Cool on the bottom side.
