I have a 5 Video series on my Youtube channel about building the speaker mounts and wiering and installing the stereo. If you go with my flat pannel design (3mm textured) plastic, they are deep enough to install 6" round standard speakers, but not deep enough to install 6"x9"s
If you want to install deep speakers, you have to make the depth with the mount material. I've seen people use 3/4 inch board to make them, I think it looks terrible when one does that... but to each its own.
I installed 4 6" speakers and it works great.
Check the Videos. Here you have part 1, Parts 2 to 5 can be found on my channel, feel free to suscribe.

How do the rear speaker panels attach? Do you use two sided tape or? I don’t want to drill holes for attaching the panels? Good info on your video thanks! |

Screws, Actually the exact same type of screw used on the foot rests on your 181. I used the same type for visual consistensy, you can get them at your local ACE hardware.
You can see them on video #5 of the series. Link Below.
