Carbon Fiber Parts

Has anyone found a vendor that will supply carbon fiber body parts for the beetle. I can find fiberglass but not carbon fiber.

What kind of weight savings can I expect if I replace the steel fenders with fiberglass, or carbon fiber? Is it worth the cost?

What type of racing will you be doing? That will decide if the cost is worth it.

Street racing I guess, just really looking to make my SB lighter so it will perform better on the street. I may take it to the track from time to time but usually just on the street. I'm having a 2300+ engine built now with dual 44's. I've had corvetts in the past but just wasen't satisfied with their performance. I thought I would try a VW to see if they gave a better "RUSH"
