when you got the bearing out, how did you deal with reassembly in terms of the spring clip? was the bearing able to push thru it and stay? i haven't had luck with that on other motors but haven't tried this one. _________________ -dan

My bearing are free, but squeal which I assume is because the bearing or the shaft is worn and now wobbling is happening. I have a lube tube and with a couple of drops of 30 weight, it will stop squealing for about 30 seconds.
Read all through the posts and didn't see anything about changing bearings. People asked, but no response. |

usually, the bearings can be rehabbed. they are typically an "Oilite" bronze that is porous and if you soak them in hot oil, they'll reabsorb a bit. then reassemble with some extra oil after polishing the shaft to a nice shine.
but that spring bearing clip has given me worms on things like window motors. _________________ -dan
