I have a friend stranded with what sounds lke a bad fuel pump on his WBX. It s a vanagon I sold him 4 years ago with 38K miles on it. I am sure it is something simple. loses power under load. at elast that is what he says.. He is completely not a gear head.please help me/him find a place.

If it was a bad fuel pump the Vanagon don't move.

Get the timing light out and see if she's timed correctly.

Runs fine a idle?

or just a simple fuel filter...only need a screwdriver for that one.
