Though I have the dual set up, look at the hose attachments for the right side only as they are the same for the single air set up. Good luck.

The hose I colored red what does it connect to? I have a hole in the tin for it does it just stick through the hole? My 66 beetle has pre heat pipes that that hose hooks to tha runs over and draws heat off the motor any pics of that?

I'm surprised to see that many of you guys using the oil bath. Is there any particular reason? I don't have an oil bath but a friend of mine said he had one for me if I wanted it. Years ago I had an oil bath on my 51' Chevy but I ditched it for some chrome pretty air cleaner. _________________ "Okay, so there's 6 beers and 5 of us. I never had one on mine but for some reason I can't get the oil to stop spiting out of the hose on top of the generator housing that would go to the oil bath so I bought MichaelB's of his thing project. So hopefully my engine will stay clean now. I have one on my 67 bettle and wouldn't trade for it on a cold morning _________________ 73 THING

It hooks to one of these under the engine tin.... http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=521593
It's purpose is to bring warm air from under the engine into the intake to aid in warm up. The "stovepipe" goes in between the bottom engine tin and the push rod tubes. |

If you mean the one that is about the same diameter as your finger, the hose connects to a fitting on the fan shroud right there by the air cleaner. I have the fitting on the shroud but not on my air cleaner. I just have a rubber plug on the fitting to keep my cooling air from escaping. _________________ member of: Fort Worth Aircoolers Gang |
