emissions test on 69 bus

I just recently bought a vw bus. It's my first endeavor into the vw world. Is there an exemption on vehicles that are older? I know each state probably differs. I need to know how and what I can do to my bus to make sure it passes emissions. please let me know veople. it's grately appreciated.

I know that here in caslifornia you do not have to smog a 69 but i am not sure about wisconsin sorry

hey cfisher, It doesn't make sense to me! The county just west of me doesn't demand an emissions test but mine does. Go figure. I would like to know what measures I can take to make sure it passes.

Hey Kev where in southern WI? I'm in Manitowoc. If you are near Madison I do believe there is a club there called DeBusbeitzer group or something like that. Maybe they could help you with the emissions certification specs.
