|
|
OK I hope this is the right place to post this.
I just got an A1 Sidewinder merged header and muffler, the header has the O2 sensor bung on it, it's ceramic coated (all of it) which I believe is steel ?
Now, all I got were the 4 piece header and the muffler, no hardware.
I know that the O2 sensor uses 18x1.5mm (It's getting plugged right now since I dont have an AF meter yet)
But what should I use for:
Muffler to Header bolts and nuts ?
Muffler hanger piece ?
Any recommended size and material type, or just got with what you can find ?
Any help is appreciated |

Meh nevermind I feel stupid now. I had opened/unwrapped everything but the muffler itself .... it was right there with the muffler, very high quality stuff too. That exhaust so far was worth every penny ... even more ! I am out to get the O2 sensor plug and I will install this beast Time for my tri mil euro muffler to go :p |

The ceramic coating is applied AFTER the unit is built and FITTED, so take 100 grit sandpaper to any of the slip joints and then they fit nicely, and ...make nice with the J tube _________________ 71 westfalia

no, trust me, I did that the header pieces fit nicely, the driver's side J tube took a couple of hits from the rubber mallet. The passenger's side was another story, I sanded it down like the other pieces as well as inside where on the other piece. When it didn't fit I sanded more and more and more (at that point I was getting metal shavings) after a couple hours of trying to fit it in, I grabbed my hammer to pull it out (nothing else could fit in there, and the J Tube was all bent from the mallet anyway) 20 mins later when I finally got the bent J tube out .... I smashed it ! Now I need another one |
