EXCELLENT LOU, I am glad to hear that everything went well. I am so stoked I'm like a little kid. My daughter and 1 year old grandson are coming with us. It ought to be a lot of fun for them. My daughter has been before, but not in the last 2 years. She can't wait. _________________ If you argue with an idiot for more than 5 minutes, who's the real idiot?

If I get a wild hair up my rear.... maybe I'll roll out for Thursday night only. But it'll have to be in something a little quicker and totally reliable like my Tundra. All oposed, say nay.
Just a thought. It is a long haul for one night.... but one never knows. |

Hey AlbQ Group! What route are you taking and when? I will be stopping in Luna MN on the way to the event on Thursday. Will be heading out again on Friday morning / noonish to the event. Luna is on 180 just before AZ ( 7-8 miles).
I mount the new Nexen CV820's on Saturday with Obiestar's help. I owe him a million _________________ Ryan

Bring the Tundra, bring a camel, just get there! We have no problem with a non VW at the Event. Come and have a great time, I don't think you will be disappointed. Hope to see you there. _________________ If you argue with an idiot for more than 5 minutes, who's the real idiot?

Yeah, just go! Its about people and good times I'v had family drive up and camp with us from PHX to meet us, its all good! Me and Mike are heading out Thursday early hopefully, Dana said he is "planning" to attend but I am not sure when he is leaving, Louass is leaving friday, a few others that were going had to drop out .... too much going on . http://www.aaavwclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=747 I am pretty sure I am going to leave ALL the kids home and do a selfish solo trip but might bring my son if I get a wild hair... it will give us all something more to do over the weekend... find him when he is LOST! _________________ Stitch...

I put four brand new 205/75R15s on the Westy today. I had checked the date code on the old tires and they were almost ten years old. With our extreme heat i thought it might be a good idea to replace them. _________________ Rest In Peace HamburgerBrad, we will never forget you!

Better safe rhan sorry Lou. I run 205/75/15's on my 62 Panel and I want to run them on my newest find when I get it ready for the road. Looks like we might get some weather the first part of the week. No big deal. I will post up about camp fires closer to the Event. I will call the Forest Service on Wednesday morning before we head out the door. It' almost Maddness time. _________________ If you argue with an idiot for more than 5 minutes, who's the real idiot?

Topbud, sorry we could not attend your Event. We had to take care of the last minute stuff for MM. I hope to see you and others from the Flagstaff area. Don't let the weather bother you, it should be an excellent time either way. Things are coming together nicely and we will be leaving Wednesday morning to head up to the Event area. See you there. I will be calling the Forest Service before we leave home on Wednesday and get all the info on campfires. I will be sure to post up their answers before we get on the road. _________________ If you argue with an idiot for more than 5 minutes, who's the real idiot?

Bus is ready and I am actually almost done packing! We will leave at 7am thursday so we should be there in time for lunch! I hope NO ONE lets rain scare them! It rained the whole weekend last year and it was STILL a AWESOME time! We all loved the rain! I will have a tarp and canopy up too looking forward to seeing old friends! _________________ Stitch...

Bus is packed, headed out tommorrow ( 5 AM Wed ). Meeting my bro in Camp Verde, then to Pine and Strawberry. We actually picked black berries up in that area and ate them, bringing a little sugar for them this year. Gonna camp right on the rim. Then Thurs we will either stay on the rim or take a cruise to Clifton and spend the night at Hanagen Meadow. Last time I went, 7 years ago' we ate at a cool restraunt and a awesome little candy shop. We should roll into the MMADDNNESS around 10-11 am Fri. |
