Found some more time and started looking at the front end, fenderwells and the thing I dreaded the most....MUDSILLS Shocked The only place I knew there was damage on the car was the front passenger side, it got tagged kind of from the bottom and creased the quarter panel a little.

Well after too much time the Ghia found it's way back into the driveway for some much needed attention. Me and my daughter spent a couple days taking out the pop-outs, pillars, trim, parts of the dash and rear bumper.

I think it's awesome that you and your daughter are doing this project together. So, the big question is, is the car for you or her?? Very Happy

Spent most of Sunday (with my daughter again Very Happy ) taking off every body bolt from the pan and inside the car, unbolted the steering column from the coupler, unbolted the gas tank and pulled it out, unhooked the speedo and masters cylinder lines, etc....

Everything looks great so far! I always enjoy pics!
The only thing I will say is please protect your daughter when she is working on the car, gloves, long pants, and long shirt, etc. I am sure it was hot outside, but it is always better to protect yourself. A few weeks ago I figured safety was not all that important, and I ended up with 38 stiches in my knee when my chain saw slipped.

Did some final dis-assembling before I lift the body off. Found out on 68 and maybe 69 models you have a torsion Bar, sometimes called a Z-bar, that goes through the body on the passenger side only.
