Does anyone have any info on adjustments for a sliding door on a '68?
On the latch side mine is touching the body at the top, and a 1/4"-1/2" gap at the bottom. Accordingly, the top of the door has a gap in the front which narrows as you move to the rear of the vehicle.

There are several adjustment points, and I would try adjusting the roller plate, (you should have two or three screws there) and the bottom roller assembly can be adjusted as well. From your post, I would move the top assembly towards the rear, and the bottom assembly more towards the front. Just try them a bit at a time so you don't scratch the door against the bus. This is easier if you have the Bentley manual, it's crystal clear in there w/ good pictures. Good luck.
