I found this stuff when I took out the cabinets and fridge and especially under the electrical box cover under the z-bed. I found the people that owned it a long time ago...like in the early 80's from searching internet and they told me they had driven it across the US a couple times and had donated it to charity in the 90's in Honolulu. I found it on the Big Island of Hawaii. I no longer have that bus as I've moved to California. Here's the stuff...
Notice the PO's wife is named Pilar (spanish teacher card)...If your a Big Lebowski Fan, like me, that's an awesome find!!

I did find some cool stuff but nothing like like you guys. All I got was:
Good:
-Old permit to a beach in Maine
-Old permit to a beach on the North Shore of Mass
-And a grocery list from the 70's (it had "Calgon" on it!!!)
"Ancient Chinese secret, huh?"
Bad:
-Broken bootleg copy of Beatles "Rubber Soul" cassette
-Waterbottle
-Tons of mice "Presents"
-Broken pair of speakers and a "Sub woofer"
-Stickers on the windows from various children books
-And tee shirts, jeans and a table cloth stuck behind the interior panels to act as "Insulation" which acted more as a perfect home for the mice!! _________________ '73 Transporter 1.7L Dual Carb

I forgot about this one. I was taking an interior out of a 68 bus last year in a pick-n-pull yard. I found a bottle of petulli, tons of photos from overseas from the kids travels, and pictures of a chick (assuming it was his girlfriend) naked. That was an interesting find, but I was not complaining as she was a smokin hot hippie chick. I still listent to the CD's to this day and still have the petulli on my work bench. I didnt feel right taking the picture so its just a distant memory. |

This is from one bus, one of few that I cleaned out wearing heavy chemical gloves. It was an abandoned bus and I was the only fool to bid on it, cost $335.
Roaches (not the legged kind)
Two bags of seeds (seven leaf variety)
Razor blade with mirror
Rolling papers
Clips of various design for the first item
Raunchy photo's of the previous owners girlfriend
Letters from his wife and numerous girlfriends including the raunchy one
Cute pictures of his kids, probably from several sources
Used undies from the raunchy one so he would remember her
Last but not least:
An envelope containing exactly $1,300 stuck behind the sink, Thank You
Suspect even this loser did not know about the envelope, it dated to a photo studio in San Diego that went out of business in the early eighties and all the bills were from that time frame. |

I found a 13mm wrench in one of my seat stands which became extremely useful when i needed more than one wrench. Then i found a 3" extension and i think another 13mm socket on the end under my cooling tin when i dropped the motor...
It's a lot easier to find cool stuff in a westy, haha _________________ 1972 Deluxe named Lucidity

The entire roof of my '69 Hardtop camper that I had was papered in black and white porno pictures all above the westy bed. Obviously perfect view when laying down. No, I did not take pics. _________________ '73 Transporter - Driver

busmania24, I do hope the awesome part is about the money. That was the second time I found an envelope wedged between the sink (water tank) and bulkhead containing cash. |

Brian (I_am_coo_fred) -
I was just about to remind whoever that is about the 76 pounds of rat turds he found in that bus. But to answer your question, no. The rat bus was a 71. _________________ MAKE FORUMS GREAT AGAIN
