I know some us have been tracking this.

I’d really like the Supreme Court to make a stand here and say that “Yes, individuals have the right to bear arms.” However, my gut tells me they’ll dodge the bullet (so to speak) and remand it back down to the lower courts for review. I don’t think they have the guts to take a firm, definitive stand. Likewise, to remand it back down out of “ fear that an outright affirmation of the lower court’s ruling could “cast doubt” on all existing federal firearms legislation.” is just weak. Since the courts have been dodging this issue for so long, legislation has been built on speculation and supposition of what the Court might decide. If we had an actual decision, we could review the laws in that clearer light.

guns are simply a productivity improvement. It's damn hard to launch a one-man campus killing spree with a steak knife.
