|
|
My fuel tank was trashed and rusted through when I started my project. It got trashed early on. I need to start looking now for replacement set up.
Any opinions on best place to buy a new tank?
New sending unit?
Type of sending unit?
Is it VDO? What doe sthat mean?
I am not familar.
Any insight would be appreciated. |

Thanks for the responses.
I broke down and ordered an (VW OE) galvanized tank, (German OE)sender and hose last night. I figured since this was a body off restoration, I would spend a little more vs a Brazil painted tank. The og had rusted through the bottom in several places while sitting up. I am sure between condensation/moisture in the tank. |

mrafindley..
I have not learned the trick of posting link from a forum.
I know you can do a search by "author" under "readers ride" forum. It will bring up my build pics. |
