Dark green Westy with a roof box, rolling south on I-81 past JMU (Harrisonburg) in the rain yesterday. Saw it as I stepped out of the rec center! _________________ 1993 Weekender - Hula

Spotted this guy out representing a bit north of Boston last week. I always feel a little guilty
when I come across something like this and my syncro is home in the garage

That's some weird post hippie spray paint look " not" alike. Reminds me of a engineer whom wants to be "Born to wild", but really can't just cut lose from mathmatical precision ...
Then again ,what do I know... its fun to see expresion via vanagon. |

I'd rather see it from one of my other cars, not from my Vanagon.
When Vanagon friends say: "I saw a Vanagon covered with hippy stuff written all over it!" Sometimes they're nutcases, sometimes look like social media posers, but could be just regular Vanagon folks having some fun!
When Non-Vanagon friends say: "I saw a Vanagon covered with hippy stuff written all over it", they're implying a connection to me, because of my Vanagon. So I ask, "are you sure it wasn't a Chevy Astro van? They do look similar."
This is all neither here nor there.

"The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" had a Westy in the background portraying the owner as a pedo the other night...damn! Not a good spotting! _________________ 1985.5 - Vanagon Westfalia Weekender Wolfsburg Edition - LH8U - "Penny"

In the 'hood. I've known about the van for a while, a Weekender that I've seen being driven only a few times in the six years we've lived here. That garage is seldom open.
