Wanted to grab a pic but the owner looked like they would rather not have the attention, silver westy unloading stuff the dump in western Maine yesterday. Very well-behaved and sweet black dog (lab or mix) hanging out in the back seat. Love seeing VWs being put to work:).

Did not have my camera at the ready this afternoon in the rain and missed the shot of an Assuan Brown Westy with what looked like the roof basket from a tintop. Mere moments later--and who could have foreseen this--I missed a SECOND Assuan Brown Westy with an awning.

Spent 5 days in Port Townsend, Wa. This town has got to be the Mother Lode of Vanagons. One owner was installing GW Hi Lift springs on the front of his silver '86 2wd down by the boat repair yard. Sorry I left my camera home 'cause I probably saw 20 or more vans here, don't know how many were just here from Seattle for the weekend vs how many live here. We were camped at Point Hudson Campground right on the water, there was a couple from Tacoma with a white '86 next to us the first night.

I-95 southbound near Ashland VA yesterday, I saw an Assuan Brown Westy with mods; black accents on the body, alloys, slight lift, bikes on the back.

10/12/2020 about 4:30pm rolling down East State street in Athens Ohio I spotted a gold/bronze colored high top syncro with a blue tandem bike on the back.

I was driving and saw it in the distance but could not get my phone out to get a pic in time.

Don't see to many vanagons in town so I was pretty shocked to see a high top syncro.

I feel like I have seen the van on here before and looked around some of the threads just for fun to see if I could find it but came up short.

Who could it be?
