Another one turns up at a local repair place that is NOT a VW specialist. This is an '87 automatic.
It's really unusual to see two at once here in town, but there's another on the lot at the same time. I've already posted a pic of the second one parked in its neighborhood but here it is at the same repair facility, the first one on the far left and the second on the far right. I could not get a better photo showing both. Both are blue '87s with VINs about 1,500 apart (-85822 and -87101). My own '87 is about 10,000 later than these two.

Interesting luggage rack plug on the front and vortex generators on the back end. _________________ '87 Westy in Wolfram Grey Metallic |

If you worked the Mukilteo to Clinton ferry run, you might've seen my Weekender loaded to the gills making its way up to Deception Pass State Park last Monday afternoon. _________________ Casey--

Just got back from a month long, 3,400 mile trip up and down the west coast. I have seen MANY, including some rather famous ones. Make the pilgrimage to GW, VC and others.

So, do you think the guys at German Motorwerkes eat at Coco's Restaurant much? _________________ 89 Tristar Syncro Doka - White

I was driving south to Olympia on I-5 yesterday and spotted my old '90GL heading north. I could tell it was my van from the roof rack the new owner put on it and the distinctive blue greyhound decal I had on the back window. Small world.... |

The Clinton run is a little far for me, I have only worked it a few times. On the FVS route for summer. |

I assume from the vantage points that you work in the wheelhouse. When I quit commercial fishing in Alaska, I had enough sea time to sit for my first mates license. I should've done that, and then gone to work for the WSF. My wife currently works for WSDOT, and I spent four years with them. The PT to Coupeville ferry shortage is really impacting our planned trip up to the San Juans next week. We've been hoping to avoid the I-5 corridor _________________ Casey--

Just passed this one in Rhonert Park, CA. First time I've seen the LEDs in person. Very nice!

Didn't get a pic because it appeared so suddenly, but on our way to the eclipse viewing an oncoming Titian Red Westy zoomed past westbound on SC 72 near Clinton SC. _________________ '87 Westy in Wolfram Grey Metallic |

Terrible pictures of a really neat one, in a rush for work and was not able to get a good shot think it had Maine plates. An archery block on the back I think!.
