Ran into Tiggers-Travels.com down in Fort Lauderdale today while going to the hardware store.
He's running a 1.9TDi dual fuel tanks, (water tank on drivers side)

Super nice guy! he let me stand inside to check headroom on his Weinburg hightop which pops open with a tent. (think I got the name right?)

Said he weighs about 6000lbs. so fuel mileage is not great.

He'll be up in North Carolina this coming weekend for a overland show-forgot where!

That looks like my orange Thing, except that my Thing was a '73 Thing. That orange Thing is a '74 which is later than my Thing.

So, is Tigger Bus the same group as Tiger bus?
It seems to me that they are just slightly different.
Same concept, same style van, same top, slightly different name, and darker orange.
Also, one was registered out of Germany, and it looks as if this group is registered out of England.

Thanks. I've given up on puzzling out the keystroke combos for diacritical marks when using this laptop.

Fantastic! Thanks for that. I've been using Alt>0239 for the ï in my daughter-in-law's name but Alt>139 is quicker! Wink

This is a recent full restoration done by Foreign Auto Supply (FAS). I saw it in Brunswick last week! 2.0 TDi, full skid plate, beautiful interior... its the real deal.

Is it my imagination, or is the rear skid plate real low?
