I will post some pics soon. I am stripping it out, needs to visit the metal guy soon. Front floor is Toast, rear cargo floor, pretty bad, dash hacked for a crap radio (I found a donor section), lots of minor rust bites all over it, frame is solid, passenger side walk through partially cut. Crap $400.00 paint job, Surfer boy teal. Has good Velvet Green and pearl White under the trim and wheel wells.
M codes and VIN are all correct. True early 1967 21 window.
I think I paid a bit too much, but oh well at least I will be building what I want. I think she will sort out nicely. |
67s did have a big square radio hole.......they take a 67 only blockoff plate |
Early 67's don't have the big radio cutout. That came later in the model year. _________________ '67 13 Window

This is interesting, now I look at the opening in my dash it looks like it is the older pre 67. It is cut out but looks like if it was the late 67 style there would be more flat area concidering this is a standard din sized radio they hacked in. How do I tell if it is dual circuit brake ?
My build date is 8/01/1966
Chassis number: 7002740

I think you can tell by taking off the front belly pan, if that's what its called, that bit of thing with a steering box sticking out of it. Anyway, when your under there with that off you should be able to see the master cylinder it will have a cable coming off to light up your brake lights and a dual circuit one will have two brake line types deals coming out of it, one for the front and one for the back, a single circuit will only have one.
you probably want to get someone to check what I just wrote before you go writing it in any exams, I might of just typed a load of cobblers. _________________ http://www.facebook.com/groups/175509642524184/ |

I think it looks like you have later 67 dash knobs, perhaps early 67 still used a church key on the petrol door? If you have a church key then its almost certainly early 67 or um earlier. _________________ http://www.facebook.com/groups/175509642524184/ |

No church key, and it does have the 67 only filler door. It also appears to have the dual circuit MC. |

Sorry to bump an old thread, but, my question:
What happens if the bus is non-US, what is the M-Code a 21/23 should have? _________________ Reading skill increased by +1 |

The M-code plate should have a Deluxe model code. Model 241 or 251 if this is a USA Bus. It should NOT have M-code 130 either, which would mean it was originally a hardtop Deluxe.

AFAIK, for German buses, M-Codes and model numbers are not country specific. _________________ The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance, but the illusion of knowledge
