This bus was kept in small barn just little bigger than bus it self. Old man used it to rest when working on his garden. Some other guys took it for 10 stacks of artificial manure and one other brand same size bus(cost about 200 eur)for same purpose
I swapped my 66 standard with all work done and all sheet metal prepared for it. Guys who had it knew what they have but wasn't interested in restoring it and dealing with it.
Bus is in excellent shape although missing beam and transmission. Deluxe trim was on it . _________________ Oval 1954

Awesome work! one piece at a time. You'll have that thing driving in no time. Good luck with the rest of the work. Very cool to see all the work people put into these buses. |

So, are you doing fitting and clamping for all these pieces before starting to weld? Are you just trying to make sure you can get it all in and squared to dimension before treating and welding the bits together? _________________ Founder and Chairman Emeritus, ECMSAS

Yes and No. I don't weld.
But before this I never worked with metal either. I will do what is from me. I am happy while preparing all this. Then I will learn and start to weld or call somebody to help me with welding. My intention is to make 100% sure that there is no bad section on the bus and this can not be done by anybody else but me. But you all know that already. _________________ Oval 1954

I wish you lived closer, I would weld it up for you..
You should give welding a try, I bet you would be good at it...its only metal...good luck with the rest of the metal. It looks great. |
