Neil,
Didn't you find an NOS lower cab divider kick rubber?
I'd love to see a photo of that. _________________ Founder and Chairman Emeritus, ECMSAS

I got 2 front transaxle mounts off a friend .
And I also bought a front splitcase transaxle pinion bearing of hazetguy , I was a long time looking for one of those , no one is making them with the proper ring groove in them anymore .

I think hardware or small stuff like that might be the most random. |
Neil and I bought a box of NOS engine tin screws. _________________ Jack

here is a half corner. I would say that there is little use for a full corner.

Yes, I got that from Hazetguy at the last BulliBrigade. The best parts never hit the swap blankets, the deals are made in advance.
The lower cab dividor rubber is in Florida with the bus, so unless I can con Rafferty into snapping a picture of it, it will remain a myth.
It is pre-molded if anyone is interested. |

I bought a set of NOS bus window scrapers from Neil a few Bulli Brigades ago.
I have some NOS bakelite dash knobs as well. _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.

At the moment these two bits are NOS but in a few weeks they will be installed and used as they should
First is a 36 hp bus air filter support bracket. Once upon a time all bus engines had one of these brackets mounted between the air filter triangle bracket and the seam on the front of the fan shroud. this one came NOS from Vicsbahn of Australia.
The next candidate is a NOS bus short manifold part # 211 129 701. It was used on buses that had a speed governor installed- not many of those around...
[/img]
In the category of random NOS parts wanted I am looking for a short intake manifold support bracket that would be the mate for the intake manifold. I know I could take a standard one and cut it down but... there would be no fun in searching if I did that! |
I have one of those NOS air cleaner support brackets, that's a hard to find item
I wish I had one of those intake manifolds NOS, it's beautiful. Two days ago I was cleaning out heat risers No fun.
I put an NOS wiper pivot/disconnect, and NOS safari seals on my '61, and it barely leaked for a few years. Now they are just used lol. I've installed nos door striker plates on the 65 I had. The 65 also got an NOS rear window seal, and the vertical seals the wing window pivot onto at the back of the wing window.
It was very cool when Bill Dierickzs had his shop in Seattle and there was just aisles of NOS stuff. The magpie pieces were pricey, but all the little hardware and bits to keep the bus going weren't. I got things there like an NOS bit of the front door handle, the claw that gets worn down.
I wish I bought that NOS transmission center section that was at a show for $300.
I have an NOS 'Hoover bit' and one NOS doghouse thermostat flap short connector. Random... an NOS ring and pinion (4.125) and an NOS 2nd gear. _________________ The Obsolete Air-Cooled Documentation Project http://oacdp.org/ |

No, I am not the NOS king - my stuff becomes used when it is bolted or welded to my bus. Used dog legs, used corner, used heater tubes, used tail lights, used pop out latches, used bumper brackets, used engine components, used window rubber, etc etc.. |
