are those are driving lights or fog lights?

They are actually 200,000 candlepower Offroad lights with the covers on them..... I drive a lot of country roads and offroad trails where i need more light...... Not really legal for oncoming traffic but i just turn them off when i see a car.. Smile

Aircraft landing lights bright... !! Shocked

we had a nice pair of Cibie's on a rally car years ago. Tried them on a country road and they would light up barns a mile away like day time. Too bright for the highway with so much traffic these days. Being so low don't they hide holes and hollows in the shadow?

those sound more like environment lighting than road hazard lights.

at what point do you just throw a bar across the top and get 4 more of em?

LOOK AT ME NOW! Cool

why'd you scrap the first set of lights? why not run all of them? you have a alternator that can handle it i am sure....Laughing

I haven't used them on trails yet so we'll see.. My main deal is distance lighting..... long Louisiana roads and no cars are a invitation to Critters to hang out on the roadway... At 70+ mph i wanna see them earlier ..... (maybe fry their retinas) Laughing

My stock headlamps are sufficient for normal road driving and slow trail creeping ..... Though another set for fog would be nice... The bumper has another set of mounting holes on the top of push bar.. later i may add some foglights low and move the two KC's to the top...... I run a 100 amp alt with dual batteries so now problems in the power dept... Smile

These are pretty out of adjustment in the photo but have since been fixed. Hella H3 lamps. The headlights are brand new H4's

Nice fog lights, your turn signals look really bright too. Did you do anything to those?

Fitted mine but not yet wired them up:_

I checked the underside of the bumper & there were 4 holes already drilled, The spotlights would fill 2 if I turned the bumper over but the other 2 would be just there:-

Quite a few dead fly's on Milly's front panel:_

Measured up the locations & put masking tape so I could mark the exact location:-

Got my trusty combi dril out with a 5.5mm drill bit:-

Drilled the hole, you can see I put a booklet underneath so the drill wouldn't touch Milly's paint:-

I would take the foglamp switch's live feed, from the negative side of the front side-light switch.

This thread is awesome! I can't wait to install them in my bus!

Anybody tried these out from BusDepot? Will I have to polish these bad boys once a week so they don't rust?
