i was just wondering is it possible to get a little bit bigger airscoop's for the type 2 on the back or would that be a custom type job?also would it help keep the engine cooler?or just slow the thing down more?

The late bay design is the equivalent of the side scoops that people put in splits and VW enlarged the scoops a little bit in 72. I imagine there is quite a lot of air getting pushed in there when at speed. The air is sucked in at the speed that the engine fan rotates (crank speed) so my guess is that limits the cooling.

The air in the compartment never feels warm to me when I open the door. How about you?
