Can I replace the back windows and the weather striping before a new headliner is on.

best to replace them after new headliner is installed. yeah yiou can do anything with enouhgt time patience and tools. i wouldnt try it though. how much is it gonna cost you to have new headliner installed?

We have a quote to replace the headliner, all the way down to the windows for $300. I know, it is expensive, but I do not want to tackle that job. I have absolutely no experience with interior, so I would rather practice on the wall panels.

That's a decent price. Anything in the hundreds seems expensive when you DIY with a VW but upholstery work isn't fun and you'll spend twice as long as a professional (at least) especially your first time.
