Ok, thanks to a rock, it looks like I'm getting a new windshield soon. Any place sell a seal that's better/worse than the others? Who's had good results where? Bus depot's seals ok?

Rob
I have one from the depot in my Westy, it has an extra wide lip that goes out on to the body. Fit real nice.
Put it in 3-4 years ago , is holding up real nice.

The BD seal is Genuine VW from Brazil. They changed the shape a little from the original german version but I've never seen a report complaining about one. If you serch the Type2 archives, Ron of BD says it's great for hiding that little bit of rust you have poking out from under your current seal!

I want to put in a good word for OEVeedub. They seem to carry the best selection of OE German seals. They also carry the Brazillian windshield seal as a cheaper option. Until the Euro forced their prices up 15%, they were very competitive with BD and you knew where your seals were sourced from.

Of all the seals I've ordered only the engine lid seal has been a disappointment. The euro seal, the wolfsburg west seal and even the WCM seal aren't even close to the original.
