Searching / showing thread pictures pics

I was thinking about tires & how they look in the wheel opening.
I wanted to see all the pics people had posted... but have to scroll page by page through one of the tire threads or tire sticky threads (long process).
I thought what I'm proposing below could apply to other (long) threads... where you know there's a good pic you want to see... but it will take forever to find it.
(Think of looking for a certain pic in one of the "vintage photos" threads.)

What do you think about having the functionality of:
1) clicking on a thread
2) being able to click on a link (show thread pictures) & it would open up small/medium sized thumbnails of all pics in the thread
3) being able to click on a link (find photo in forums), similar to a Gallery search... and then it would help you navigate to the specific post that used the pic
