Ok I'll admit it. I'm a Twin Peaks fan. Maybe because I live in the Pacific Northwest?
Episode 11 - Shelly is thrown from a car and lands on the ground. Carl rushes over to help Shelly. She asks Carl for a ride in to town. Carl calls for a vintage split window bus with his magic flute. ( This really happened)
Anyways here's where the scene breaks down. Notice the bus that Carl summons is a split window
But the next scene Shelly and Carl inside the bus. Notice something different?
And then we see this
|
Besides the obvious split window, bay window thing, the split window image is reversed. See the license plate? Soooooo is that bus a right hand drive?

7pm tonight on Decades (channel 112 on Long Island Optimum), a show called Planes, Trains, and Automobiles will have a segment on the VW bus. _________________ “If you care for a thing long enough, it takes on a life of its own, doesn't it? Not a bad 5 minute look at the bus.
Later in this episode will be a look at the bug. _________________ “If you care for a thing long enough, it takes on a life of its own, doesn't it? Mending old things, preserving them, looking after them – on some level there's no rational grounds for it.”

Sorry I don't have a picture yet, but there is a black painted later model beetle in the new Jason Bourne movie in the scene with his father. |
I finally got a chance to see the entire movie yesterday. There is a Beetle that is shown in a repeated mental flashback scene. There seems to be a fire raging behind it. I can't locate a picture of it. Is that the one you mean?
There is also what seems to be a newer Golf featured in a chase scene. _________________ “If you care for a thing long enough, it takes on a life of its own, doesn't it? Mending old things, preserving them, looking after them – on some level there's no rational grounds for it.”

Late Bay-window Westy camper in Citi Cards "twins" commercial. I immediately noticed the green/yellow plaid cushion on which the kids are resting, then the cabinets, and the front seat headrest shape.
