Highly accessorized Beetle on display at the 1963 International Auto Show, Frankfurt Germany. In German. Starts at ~14:00 in the video link below. Narrarator says these "Christmas tree decorations" add approx. 2000 Deutschmarks to the vehicle, yet result in a 30% resale devaluation. Shocked Note the full wheel cover on the rear, which differs from the front and which I've never seen in person.

Midsomer Murders, The Animal Within. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0868397/ Faith Alexander (played by Lisa Eichhorn) drives a yellow 1972 convertible Beetle. Seen here: https://www.imcdb.org/v565684.html Just saw the second half on TV tonight, the Beetle is seen in both halves of the episode. (the episode may not be in two parts in all locations)

That's from a VW repair shop in Manhattan Beach California. The shop has been at that location since at least the late 70's, possibly longer. Usually three to five buses parked there, though last time I drove by there were a couple of bugs too.

The shop is called Auto-Meister at 1301 N Sepulveda Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
Here is the Google Map link: https://goo.gl/maps/Nkf4XGHTeqp
The logo on the yellow split window panel to which Fish referred says REBEL COAST WINERY. In the satellite view, the big parking lot across the street is for a Target store.

I just saw this rerun, and I noticed he even has VW repair books (including a late Muir edition) on his bookshelf!

Magnum Force (1973)- several references posted in the past.

Near the end of the movie where Callahan (Clint Eastwood) and Lt. Briggs (Hal Holbrook) drive Callahan's blue Ford sedan to the port, they pass a white early '60's Ghia Cabrio parked at the curb.

If that's a right door mirror and the steering wheel is black, it'd be a '66. Can't tell if the right rear hubcap is domed, or if it's the curve of the rear bumper blade. Stock '66 would have a flat hubcap.

That's not the roof post of a Beetle in left foreground, but a mailbox.

Ghia Coupe in "Road Trip with Huell Howser": Julian, CA.*

A field engineer for our NJ-based company who lives in SoCal told me about this man and his entertaining programs about California landmarks and locations. In this episode about the village of Julian near San Diego, Mr. Howser and his local village tour guide jaywalk Surprised across the main street. A blue '70-ish mild custom Ghia Coupe passes by behind them.
