Welded in some adjusters today and forgot to put the inner pieces in! (empi type) can they be knocked in from the end of the torsion tubes? Any tricks here or am I gonna have to cut the tubes and reweld?

Thanks, risk

Are you refering to the Aluminum collar that sits in the center of the beam? If so, yes you'll need to knock out the original and insert the new collar into place.

well, I cut an extra 4" out to narrow the beam, so I cut the og collars out. The new adjusters I welded in came with new collars but I left em out on accident Embarassed

any ideas?

If you don't have any welding slag inside the beam tubes, you can just insert those collars back into place. Of course you'll need to remove any bearings that might be on the ends of the tubes to gain access

your best bet if you cant get it in that way is to just make a new cut away from any cuts you had before and bevel the edge again and re weld. sucks , i did the same thing lol

heres what i do, find the length you want the bolt via adjusting to desired ride height, then remove the bolt and thread a nut onto it, cut and/or grind it to the desired length/shape, removing the nut should clean the threads up enough. done.
